The Association for the Psychoanalysis of Culture and Society is an international organization whose members are devoted to analyzing aesthetic, social, cultural, and political situations through various psychoanalytic lenses. Our members are diverse, and include academics from many disciplines, artists, film-makers, and clinicians from many parts of the world. We are proud to sponsor with our partner Palgrave Macmillan the journal Psychoanalysis, Culture & Society. We also host an annual Fall conference that has a loyal following. It is a small gathering where members and interested others meet for lively intellectual debate and convivial conversation. In recent years our conference has found a home at the Center for Continuing Studies at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA.
We welcome new members in APCS, we invite submissions to our journal, and we also welcome submission of paper, panel, roundtable and alternate format proposals for our annual meeting.
Please browse our website to learn more about APCS and the activities in which we are involved, and if you have questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
